Hello! This time, Julia Roberts is our choose actress. She is very good actress.   Her real name is Julia Fiona Roberts, and her age is 45. But she looks very young. She has worked long time. Her birthplace is United States America. The height is 175 centimeter. It is little tall, but it is very cool for her. She is beautiful face so she works in model. She works in a lot of places. She dame out in 1988. She works at America, but she goes to around the world. She is cool and cute and sexy so she is popular for me and women both. She appears a lot of movies and she is a very famous actress in the world. she has two movies this year. She has a lot of faces in the a lot of movies each other. The movies are "Larry Crowne" and "Mirror Mirror" this year, she played in. “Mirror Mirror” is a movie quite recently and she appeared the part of a bad witch in it. The movie is my favorite movie. She has a lot of interesting information. This time, these information are introduced. these information are about three movies, family, and awards and introducing other movies and scandal on herself.


At the first, writting about “Valentine’s Day”. The movie was shown in 2010, and it is love story. The movie director is Garry Marshall. She appeared the part of a soldier on the American armed forces, and her official name was Kate. Co-stars are Ann Hathaway, Taylor Swift, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, and Bradly Cooper, and so on. The movie drew Valentine’s Day of each ten couples who live in Los Angeles. And it is collection of short stories. Julia Robers is one of all the couple. The movie was seen by me. Each short stories were very interesting and moving, the movie let me to cry. that the movie was a very heart-warming movie. My recommend the movie is “Valentine’s Day” to everybody.

The name is vivian ward, and she played in a very poor woman. She was poor woman at first, but she meet one man. After she met him, she changed her life with him. He is too rich man and he is very cool so he likes her on the movie. She fall in love him and the end is happy end. This movie is love story. This movie is called cinderella story by everyone. This movie has dream for girls. This movie looks like Disney story. Her partner’s actor is Richard Gere. He is too cool, so he is much the role. He is closed her on private. His family and her family are closed, too after this movie. And director is Garry Marshall. He is nice director. So This movie is very good for everyone in the world. in this movie, she is so cute and sexy because she was very younger than now. She is 45 years old.

Third,the information is about Notting Hill. in this college and english class student had watched this movie because it is studied by listening class. Notting Hill is a Love story which happens between a divorced man in the UK and an actress tremendously popular among people. The role of Julia Roberts is Anna: she is an actress. In fact, Julia Roberts is also a real actress today. So we think her performance is like herself. She was thinking about the suffering as an actress while playing the role of Anna when she made the film with others. For instance, if she wanted to get along with other people equally, they would not have treated her as a human equal with others because she is a tremendously popular actress. Surely, she experienced the suffering on real life. her role of Anna performance is simply and cheerful personality. there are many things everyone can sympathize on this movie. For instance, the feeling of love which we can’t get along with him well.

Next information is about Julia Roberts’ family. Her family is a husband and the twins of boy and girl and a boy. She got married once in 1993, but it was divorced in 1995. And I introduce that many awards which she was awarded a prize. She was awarded a prize Golden Globe Award of the Best Supporting Actress on “Steel Magnolias” which was shown in 1989. And she was awarded a prize Golden Globe Award for Best Actress-Motion Picture Musical or Comedy on “Pretty Woman”. She became the candidate the Academy Award on “Steel Magnolias” and she was nominated for the Academy Award on “Pretty Woman”. She was awarded a prize Academy Award for Best Actress on “Elin Brockovich” which was sown in 2000.

Next information is about other on her movies. It is “Larry Crowne” Her role is a lazy teacher of speaking at Community College. A man; Larry Crowne who was dismissed from a Supermarket enters there to reemploy other work. They met together and birth a comedy drama. If you watch it, you can see her different performance as an actress in comparison with some movie which we wrote as above. She played in a lot of movie the others. The other movies are interesting, too. If you are free, why don't you watching her DVDs.

In my car is my best favorite place because to use my car can go anywhere. To drive with my car is my favorite things, too. To use car can drive anywhere with my friends and family. So, my car is very important item for me.

To listen musics in my car is my best favorite things, because in my car, there are no people and publics. So, in my car, everyone can sing songs and listen big volume. In my car, there are a lot of music systems. There are a lot of CDs and *transmitter in my car. They are very useful for me and friends and family. There are lot of songs. For example, J-pop and K-pop and so on. in my car is enjoyable place for everyone.

The car, my boyfriends one have more useful and a lot of music systems, so it is better than mine. The i phone of my boyfriends one have a lot of musics, too. So in his car can enjoy better than my car. We often listen Ketsumeishi in the car. It is very nice songs and powerful for us.

Next reason in my car is my best favorite place is to use my car everyone go anywhere. To see a lot of views from my car. For example, There is Aso. There are many good views from my car. In Aso can see a lot of animals and nanures from my car. In the evening, there are a lot of stars in Aso. From my car, it is be able to see them. Sometimes there are shooting stars from my car. It is very nice for me. To see them from my car makes me happy.

The others, to go Amakusa with my car is nice things, too. To see the sea from my car is nice for me, too. At beach, there are sunsets and stars in the evening, so to be the car can see them. In the morning, to be my car can see sunrises, too. It is makes me happy. If you want to see them, you must wake up early, so it is tired.

To go anywhere with my car is my best things because I can talk with my friends and family and boyfriend in the car until arrive at destination . In the car, to sing in big volume with my friends and family and boyfriend, too. To arrive until arrive at destination time makes me exciting. To think where we will go somewhere is exciting for me, too. That’s the reasons, in my car is the my best favorite place. To go all of the Kyusyu while I am a student in college is my amusement.

Essay 1-03b: Language Learning History

I can speak Japanese and English and French, but I only speak a little French. I'm studying Japanese and English now. Why I can speak English and Japanese and French? I will tell you about my language learning stories.

First of all, my tongue is Japanese. I have heard around languages when I was a little girl. My family can speak Japanese. In other word, my family only speak Japanese, so I didn't hear other languages. The others were speaking only Japanese, too. They were people of neighborhood and so on. So, when I was a little girl, I only speak Japanese.

In my childhood, I only speak Japanese, too. I talked with preschool friends and teachers, so I began to speak dialect. I learned many words from many people. I enjoyed to talk with many people. I like to talk with people, so I could talk well.

When I was a student in elementary school, I could speak Japanese well and I began to speak a little English. I had ALT class in the elementary school. The school has a teacher of ALT. His name is Jon. He teach us easy English through games of English. He was very unique guy, so we could enjoy to study English. I could remember words of English from him. The other things, he told us English songs. There were the Beetles and Mariah Carey and so on. He told us interesting and easy song. So, we could hear these songs. We could enjoy to study English. Also, he told us easy grammar. But I couldn't understand them well. I like to hear English songs and English games very much.

Next, when I was a student in junior high school, I began to have classes of English. I began to study English legitimate at the class. First, I learned grammar of English. It was too difficult for me. But I used to go cram school, so I could understand grammar of English. Also, I began to study speaking of English. I remembered basis sentence and I could speak a little English. I felt cool to speak English.

When I was a student in high school, I had to study harder. I learned English and Japanese detailed. I learned grammar and sentence and speaking and writing of English for examination of college. It was too hard for me, but my teacher told me politely. Japanese is sentence and anthology and classic Japanese. I hated classic Japanese.

In the college, I learned English and Japanese and French! French is difficult for me. Grammar and sentence of French is too difficult. I felt I like my tongue. But French is very cool. So, many people want to study French. I want to teach it for many poeple. But I can't it, so I can't teach it a little. Also, I have to learn English more harder. English is profound, so I'm interested in learning English. I learned writing and reading and listening and speaking and grammar of English from my class. My teachers told me English. My weak point of English is speaking, but I want to speak fluently. So, I have to learn harder. Also, I have to write reports. I have to write Japanese well when I write reports. So I have to learn Japanese.

The others, I learned many languages from TV. My mother and my grandmother like Korean TV drama. So, I can listen Korean, but I can't speak it. Korean is very popular now. My friend like K-pop, too. But I don't like it because I like J-pop and European music. I listen many language from TV sometimes, so I can learn from TV.

I can speak Japanese, English, and French. I learned from many people. They are teachers and family and friend and so on. I can understand English and French, but I had not spoken it with people. So, I want to make use of them someday.

Essays 1-02c: University Life

Exchange students from overseas will needs to know is some things. we will tell you about KGU. First is what we can use a library of KGU. Second is what we can use a bus of KGU. Next is about English Lounge. Next is about a bakery of KGU. Next is about students’ dining hall. Last is about Lawson in KGU.


First of all, we will explain about library. There is a big Library in KGU, and the library has many books. we always go to there to do my homework. When you want to study or read books or do your homework alone or need research , you should come to there! There is fashion magazines renew every month, so we can read many fashion magazines. You can read it, and you can know Japanese fashion style. The other thing, there is AV corner in the library. There are many DVDs there. You can see movies in AV corner. Another one, there are newspapers of many countries there. You can read it of your own country, and you can get  information around the world. we suggest to go there one time, and to read comics. There are many Japanese comics, and it is translated English. So, you can read easily and interesting. My favorite comic is ONEPIECE. It is very nice Japanese comic!! If you are free, you should read it.


Next, you all can use a bus of KGU. This bus is servicing to KGU from Kumamoto Station. A purpose of this system is what KGU serve convenience for a day student. If it were difficult for you to go school by only yourself, you can use a bus of KGU. And you can go school easily! x) Please be sure to use when you go to school. :)


Next, we tell you about facility of exchange students. There is "English Lounge" at KGU. It place is for exchange student. There is the first floor of building No.1. It is the place what exchange students mix well with Japanese students. Lounge staff often held party for exchange students. It is very interesting. You will be able to make a lot of friends. If you go there, you will have chance to make many friends. and we can enjoy conversation, discussion and so on at English Lounge. And we can chat and eat snacks there. Moreover, we can have a party, game and so on. For example, Halloween party is planned in November, Christmas party is planned in December and the staff held BBQ and tour of Kumamoto Castle and so on. It will be interesting. English Lounge is the place of intercultural exchange. And you will be able to know about Kumamoto more. It is nice chance for exchange students. Open hours is 9:30 to 17:30. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday is opening. Whoever is college persons can make use of English Lounge. (For example, student, the staff of KGU etc) English Lounge is surely funny place. Please go to and enjoy there. You will be able to spend a full time.


Next, we are going to introduce about bakery in KGU. The clerks of bakery bake a lot of kind breads at any time. They bake everyday, so the breads are very delicious. There are many kinds of bread which is what we can eat as a meal or tea and snack, some drinks and soft ice cream. Incidentally. There are about twenty seats. There are a lot of students and teachers and general people and child attending kindergarten at noon. So, we have to come to there a little earlier than usual. Or else, popular breads are often sell out and we can’t plop down into seats. Sometimes, they bake new breads there. we are looking forward to eating new breads. we are going to introduce my favorite breads. If you want to eat breads fresh from the oven, you should go there and eat breads. Let's enjoy a lunch there.


We are going to introduce about students’ dining hall in KGU. There is very broad. But there are a lot of students and teachers at noon. And, all menus are very cheap. Price is about three hundred yen. Foreign people can eat various foods what you aren’t able to eat in foreign countries. First of all, please go to and eat at students’ dining hall in KGU.


Last of all, we will tell you about Lawson in KGU. Lawson is very famous convenience store. The store sell various thing. For example, foods, drinks, magazine and stationery. We can get a meal, tea or snack and drinks at Lawson. Kind of food is rice dish, noodle or instant noodle, sandwich, salad, and so on. We can have hot to eat and cold to eat in here. Kind of tea or snack is cake, pudding, ice cream, chocolate, chips and so on. there are our lunch and snacks. There are a lot of goods at LOWSON. We can buy many goods cheaper. So, we often use there.


what we would like to tell you is KGU has many convenient and useful places. we told you about a bus of KGU, English Lounge, Bakery, students’ dining hall and Lawson. Those is interesting and kind places for exchange students. And we can use them freely. So, you shoud be active. We wish this information is useful for you. Have a happy studying abroad!

Essay 1-02b: University Life

I think there are a lot of kind places for exchange students. I will introduction to everyone about many things for exchange students. For example, there are library and facility of exchange students and convenience store and bakery and so on. I will explain about them in detail to exchange students.

First of all, I will explain about library.there is a big Library in KGU. KGU has a library of a lot of volumes. If you need a research, you can go to the library. There are many data as newspaper and book and so on. Anyone else there is fashion magazines renew every month, so we can read many fashion magazines. You can read it, and you can know Japanese fashion style. Another, there are newspapers of many countries. You can read it of your own country, and you can get lot of information around the world. I suggest to go there one time, and to read comics. There are many Japanese comics, but it is translated English. So, you can read easily and interesting. My favorite comic is ONEPIECE. It is very nice Japanese comic!! If you are free, you should read it. You will be sure to be addicted to read it.

Last of all,  there is the bakery at KGU. Clerk of bekery bake a lot of kind breads at any time. They bake everyday. Bread what they bake are very delicious. Sometimes, they bake new breads at there. I'm looking foword to eatting new breads.  If you want to eat breads fresh from the oven, you should go there and eat breads.

There are a lot of interesting and kind places for exchange students. So, you shoud be active. Be active, and you can make many friends and enjoy university life at KGU. I want you use many places and enjoy university life together.
